This past weekend Quakertown Alive! hosted an autumn festival to remember. It was a wonderful event appropriately titled Autumn Alive! Right in the heart of Quakertown you could bring your dogs and enjoy the crisp, cool, autumn air while shopping, eating, and having fun. As a dog owner, I really appreciated this event. I enjoyed visiting the local festival and shopping for handmade art while also having the opportunity to be among so many people who love their dogs.

The heart of this town was celebrating the season in style with food, musicians, vendors, artists, mummers, and a pet parade! Throughout the entire event there was always something new to see and experience. They had Radio Disney on stage entertaining the crowds, a cupcake challenge, and dogs dressed up in halloween costumes. And Quakertown itself looked so picturesque it was like stepping into a postcard. The streets were lined with tents and balloons and everything buzzed with activity. Even the trees lining the sidewalks were ablaze with color from the fall foliage.
Quakertown Alive! hosts a number of community events throughout the year and I would highly recommend finding one to attend. Their community focused initiatives not only create opportunities for artists to connect with the community, but the events themselves are an important part of the Quakertown Alive! revitalization mission.

Pets are important to many families. Having festivals to attend where you can shop for handmade artwork and bring your pets is such an enjoyable experience. I saw artists with bowls of water for the dogs, and even some artists had their own dogs with them. I also saw many handmade pieces including clothing from alpaca fur, jewelry, custom cupcakes, and so much more.

The Quakertown Alive! events are an important part of the local community. You’ll want to keep a lookout for some of their upcoming events now that the holidays are approaching. They also create opportunities for local artists to sell and display their handmade crafts. There was another dog-friendly autumn festival this weekend and that was Doggie Day in Bethlehem! Again it was another fantastic opportunity for us to enjoy shopping for handmade pieces, fresh dog treats, and enjoy the fall weather while spending the day with our furry friends.

For anyone looking for an opportunity to shop for handmade arts and crafts while also spending a beautiful autumn afternoon with their family and pets, I would highly recommend attending some of these dog-friendly festivals. Many artists now create handmade edible treats for dogs, collars, and artwork that appeal to families with one or multiple pets. So grab a leash, support local artists, and take your dog for a walk while enjoying one of these amazing autumn weekends!
